Project title: National Data Repository. Universal Infrastructure for Data Storage and Sharing and Efficient Processing of Large Data Volumes in HPC, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Models
Project acronym: KMD4
Implementing institution: National Information Processing Institute - State Research Institute
Funding program: European Funds for Modern Economy
Project number: FENG.02.04-IP.04-0015/24-00
Implementation period: 01.01.2025 - 30.06.2027
Total project cost: 241,250,005.87 PLN

Project Objectives

The goal of the National Data Repository is to provide production services for data storage, access, data protection, and metadata management, as well as integration of solutions for processing large and complex data volumes based on distributed infrastructure. The infrastructure and services will enable integrated, professional, reliable, and economically efficient execution of the fundamental processes of data storage, management, and processing, which are currently conducted independently and in parallel by many institutions and companies. Integration of analytical platforms (Big Data) and intelligence solutions (ML, AI) within the data infrastructure, along with close integration of data infrastructure with HPC and HTC systems in HPC centers, will enable effective processing of extensive and complex volumes and datasets.
