Project description
The aim of the project is to develop the national scientific IT infrastructure (PIONIER network) with applications and services supporting scientific research and development work of Polish research teams for the innovative economy. The direct goal of the project is to implement modern ICT services: videoconferencing, eduroam, campus computing, universal archiving, scientific interactive television, available to the scientific community in Poland, which is the implementation of the assumptions of POIG 2.3. The quality goals are: - increase in the quality of services offered by scientific units; - improvement of working conditions of people employed in scientific units; - modernization of the teaching base; - expansion of the educational offer and the forms of its provision. The product will be newly created applications, ICT services and IT infrastructure. The product engages scientific units and creates new jobs. It enables the purchase of specialized infrastructure and software as well as the provision of modern services for the scientific community. Gdańsk University of Technology will participate in the implementation of all elements of the project.
