Streszczenie projektu

There is a possibility to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy and vice versa, by taking piezoelectric materials into the investigation. Their primary applications are in electromechanical actuators and sensors, sonars, naval hydrophones, acoustic applications, ultrasound transducers, and as resonators in electronic equipment. The present research focuses on designing and producing a new piezoceramic composite structure on the basis of the functionally graded materials (FGMs) concept. In performing this project, a graded piezoelectric structure is a replacement for the routine single piezoelectric material. Subsequently, a few or all properties (flexibility, dielectric, piezo, etc. features) can alter in line with one particular direction or various ones for which several functions or gradation rules can be employed and utilized. This issue needs many efforts to discover a suitable gradation law. To perform it, a theoretical model can be derived. After that, it is feasible to go further with the manufacturing of the new piezo composite and numerical analyses of the mechanical properties. Consequently, the piezoelectric effect will be developed into a new composite with more flexibility, elastic modulus, and involving an appropriate piezo property, and the new structure could be of interest to high-tech markets.

Within this project, the results of mechanical tests on the specimens will be compared with those of the FEM using Abaqus and etc. numerical models.
