Link Description

To efficiently manage IPv4 numbering resources, the standard Internet access service via the TASK network is implemented using addressing with a /31 mask (255.255.255.254). This allows the use of only two IPv4 addresses, with one assigned to the gateway and the other to the subscriber device, thereby conserving the limited pool of available IPv4 addresses.

The operation method and addressing scheme of the standard service comply with the adopted RFC 3021 standard. This standard also includes recommendations for routers.

Below is an example list of routers supporting the RFC 3021 recommendation:

  • TP-Link AX series (1.0.5), EX (0.13.0.2), ER
  • Asus AX series (3.0.0.4.386)
  • Ubiquiti ER-X
  • Mikrotik (RouterOS v7)

or more advanced models such as Juniper, Cisco, and Fortinet.
