Streszczenie projektu
The objectives of the research project include the experimental, theoretical and numerical investigation of the aero acoustics and flow structure on wind turbine blade with flow control devices. A specific focus will be placed on the interaction of streamwise vortices (generated by means of jets or rods) with boundary layer separation and wake. Numerical investigations (CFD) and results comparison with experimental data for wind turbine profile with/without streamwise vortex generators will allow to identify the noise sources in flow field. Quantification of the noise mitigation potential and assessment of the applicability to a full-scale wind turbine will be done.
