CI TASK offers a number of local network services, such as: e-mail, Jabber/XMPP, FTP server, USENET news, DNS, WWW, videoconferencing, and media streaming services. The local WWW server ( enables users to access information about the Computer Center and the Tri-City network resources. To meet users needs, our Center also offers the distributed W3Cache service. An additional feature of W3Cache is its connection with other MANs W3Cache servers using the POL-34 and Pionier network thus creating a hierarchy of servers. This technique allows for searching the required page in the nearest location.

Another emerging CI TASK network service is distance learning that uses MPEG1 or MPEG2 compression protocols. Courses will be available in physics, computer science, medicine, and oceanography. To learn a lecture users should install the Stream Works player.
