PLGrid NG – Next-generation discipline services in the PL-Grid infrastructure for Polish Science < Projects

Project objectives

The mission of the project was to enrich the created services offers on the computing infrastructure, built as part of the PL-Grid and PLGrid Plus projects, and to extend them with new scientific disciplines, considered as priorities in the National Research Program. Therefore, the scope of services has been extended to the following areas: Medicine, OpenOxides, Mathematics, Biology, Hydrology, Geoinformatics, Meteorology, Complex Networks, eBaltic-Grid, UNRES, Personalized Medicine, Computational Chemistry, Nuclear Energy and CFD, Metal Processing Technology. In cooperation with CI TASK and scientists from the Tri-City, two services were created: eBaltic-Grid (cooperation with the team of J. Jakacki, Ph.D. from the Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Science) and UNRES (cooperation with the Team of Prof. A. Liwo from the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Gdańsk and Prof. S. Ołdzieja from Medical University of Gdańsk).
